Guidance for the Accounting Standard
Extractives companies are required to establish funds to meet their rehabilitation and closure obligations and must report on those under the national accounting standards. AMEP 2 will provide technical assistance on the development of specific guidance on accounting methodology for these areas of mining operations. This activity will a) improve consistency of financial reporting and application of the IFRS standards in the Mongolian mining industry; leading to b) increased transparency, accountability and efficiency for regulators and investors.
